Lysine producers in China lift prices amid tightening availability

Lysine prices were stable to higher during the week ending June 18.

Several large producers halted production for plant maintenance. Smaller ones that continued to operate took the opportunity to lift prices while limiting output.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB7.80-8.50/kg.

Lysine market will remain stable in the near term as production cuts tighten availability.
