Sloten B.V. installs additional silos in Netherlands

Young animal feed producer, Sloten B.V., extended its production plant in Deventer, the Netherlands, with two new silos on June 12, 2008.

Sloten B.V., a Nutreco company, seeks to enlarge its storage capacity of dairy raw materials with the new investment.

The project will allow the company to use raw materials even more flexible in its production process.

A big crane hoisted up the 25 meter high silo will be installed. These new silos have a 200 meters cubic content, which brings the total amount of Sloten's silos in Deventer at 30.

Steffen Rouwers, technical director of Sloten, said the new silos will give the company an opportunity to better concentrate on raw material selection based on market demand and maintain consistent product quality.
