More bird flu outbreaks hit Bangladesh
H5N1 bird flu has spread to two farms in Jaipurhat, a region 300 kilometres north-east of Bangladesh's capital Dhaka, leading to the culling of some 7,000 chickens.
133 million chickens have been vaccinated against bird flu since March, when the virus was first reported in the country.
Each year, Bangladesh produces 250 million chickens and 6 billion eggs. So far, no bird flu cases in humans have been reported.
