With more than 1,300 trade names represented, 800 animals and an exhibition area of 50,000 square metres, the 22nd SPACE will be offering its expected 100,000 trade visitors an exceptional overview of the livestock industry in France and internationally.
The tradeshow will be taking place against a background in which agriculture is recovering its high status. In the face of growing worldwide food demand, agriculture's main function of feeding the community is once again being recognised.
Exhibitor demand is high in the dairy and beef cattle sectors while the poultry and pig sectors are also enjoying healthy demand. Both new and returning exhibitors will mostly represent animal nutrition and health, animal feed, livestock equipment and buildings.
The Agri-Energy Centre is expected to carry on its success from last year to become a major draw in the tradeshow once again this year. The centre will include a research and development platform for the sharing of farm technologies, livestock presentations and competition, as well as a number of high-level presentations and symposia to discuss new ideas and latest industry developments. One of the symposia in particular, the Franco-Russian forum, would be attended by over 100 Russian business leaders and investors.
A large number of international delegations from Russia, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas have confirmed their attendance or stated their intention to attend the event. Agricultural advises and economic development officers from a number of countries in post in France will also attend the event with delegations or to inform exhibitors of the opportunities in their respective countries.
