US wheat exports slow to pick up
Total US corn and soybean export sales were bullish while that of US wheat was bearish for the week ending June 9.
Wheat export sales recorded 335,900 tonnes (12.3 million bushels), which was a slow start for the new marketing year beginning June 1.
To meet current USDA projections, export sales would need to average 497,000 tonnes (18.3 million bushels). Total wheat shipments for the week came in at 394,300 tonnes (14.5 million bushels).
On the other hand, total corn shipments for the week were reported at 869,200 tonnes (34.1 million bushels).
