Taiwan purchases US wheat from Toepfer International
Taiwan Flour Millers' Association has bought on Thursday (June 14) 47,050 tonnes of US wheat from Alfred C. Toepfer International, a Hamburg-based commodities trading firm, for shipment between July 31 and August 14, trading executives said.
The association bought Dark Northern Spring grade at US$333.94 a tonne, free on board, and Hard Red Winter grade at US$301.35/tonne, also FOB, they said.
The freight was contracted separately at US$27.94/tonne.
The association's import prices for high-quality milling wheat are widely considered a benchmark in the Asian grain trade, even though it buys relatively small volumes.
