Performance efficiencies and new innovations focus of 2022 USPOULTRY hatchery-breeder clinic


 

USPOULTRY's 2022 Hatchery-Breeder Clinic will update attendees on performance efficiencies, new innovations and other topics related to chick quality.

 

The clinic will be held on July 20-21 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown in Nashville, Tennessee, the United States.

 

"Each year, the programme planning committee combines its knowledge and expertise in hatchery and breeder management to put together a programme that addresses the relevant topics and issues facing the industry," said Sasha Smith, assistant hatchery manager at Perdue Farms, and programme committee chairperson. "This year's programme is full of learning opportunities to assist hatchery and breeder managers in their day-to-day management roles."

 

Agenda topics include "Hatchery Management: Back to Basics"; "Bird Handling During Vaccination and Movement"; "Animal Welfare During the Rearing Stage: Pullet House Enrichments"; "Rearing / Brooding / Controlling Coccidiosis . . . Maximizing Pullet Health";  "Chick Transport Sanitation; On Farm Cleaning / Disinfection / Egg Pack Contamination Prevention"; and "New Innovation: Individual House Egg Packaging System / Data Collection and Effective Utilization".
