China Live Hog Weekly: Prices surge on tight supply, robust demand (week ended Jun 4, 2018)
Demand for pork strengthened prominently as China prepared for the celebration of the Dumpling Festival. Pork carcass prices surged 6.4% to RMB15.76/kg while supplies inched lower by 0.12% to 8,121 tonnes with the quantity of finishing hog limited.
