Russia's wheat export drops in Jan-Apr 2013

Russia exported 619,300 tonnes of wheat and meslin in January to April 2013 against 4.484 million tonnes in the same period of last year.

This is according to the Federal Customs Service.

Exports to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries totalled 73,300 tonnes, exports to the countries outside the Former Soviet Union (FSU) reached 546,100 tonnes.

Imports of wheat and meslin reached 71,900 tonnes (6,800 tonnes from the non-FSU countries, 239,000 tonnes from the CIS countries).
