Paraguay soy exports down 14 percent
Exports of soy of Paraguay decreased 14 percent or 262,000 tonnes between January and April 2009 when compared to same period of 2008, said Camara Paraguaya de Exportadores de Cereales y Oleaginosas (Capeco).
Exports fell from 1.922.809 tonnes in 2008 to 1.660.689 tonnes driven principally by restrictions imposed by the government of Argentina, main market of Paraguayan soy.
