USMEF gives a hand to small processors
The US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) has launched a branded-product programme to promote meat from small processors in foreign markets.
The programme would assist small companies by matching funds to promote US meat products internationally.
These funds would help companies participate in trade shows and help their marketing efforts at these events.
Additional funds are also available to help cover seminars and education material, such as brochures and product sheets.
Promotions funded under this programme must take place between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007.
Applications will be accepted as long as funds are available. Eligible companies must have 500 or less employees, or be a producer cooperative or association.
