EU opens 2006/07 free-market wheat, barley tenders
 

The European Union's grain management committee decided late Thursday (Jun 8) to open tenders to export 2.0 million tonnes of wheat and 1.0 million tonnes of barley from the free-market for the 2006/07 marketing year, the National Service interprofessional des Grandes Culture, or ONIGC said.

The new campaign starts at the beginning of July with the first committee meeting scheduled for Jul 6.

Current tenders to resale intervention corn back on the internal market were also continued through Sep 13. This included stores from Poland, Hungary, Austria, Slovakia and Czech Republic.
