CBH submits plan to control all of Western Australia's grain transport
Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) plans to submit its Grain Express proposal to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) tomorrow (June 12, 2008).
The system would give CBH control of all Western Australia's grain transport, storage and handling facilities in the new deregulated wheat market.
CBH logistics manager Tim Collins says under the proposal, all grain would be transported via rail, ensuring the longevity of the grain freight network.
Collins said the ACCC's support is critical to the success of the new system, which he hopes to have in place in time for harvest.
