The acquisition of Belgium-based Eco Treasures fits with Innovad's commitment to sustainability.

Eco Treasures was established in 2006 by a group of chemical engineers headed by Kris Schatteman as an eco sustainable technological nucleus. Its core knowledge and experience lies in 'supercritical' CO2 extraction, a green extraction technology that leaves no trace of any organic solvents and is exceptionally well suited to extract molecules with high added value from natural resources directed primarily to pharmaceutical active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) applications and cosmetics.

Over the years, the company specialised in the valorisation of organic secondary streams from other industries and in the production of fruit seed oils and products originating from the same feedstock like fruit powders and press cake flour.

Such acquisition makes Innovad the only global player in the functional feed additives market to have in-house all necessary processes and competence to deliver environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions, the company said.
