Russia's feed output rises close to 6% in January-April 2015
At 7.9 million tonnes, Russia's feed production in January-April 2015 has reached close to a 6% rise over the same period last year.
Monthly feed output for this year is expected to be stable and will surpass a volume of two million tonnes. The growing number of feed mills, since the start of 2015, have been attributed as a catalyst for higher feed production.
A burgeoning local livestock sector, supported by a government programme, is also identified as another contributing factor.
Russia's total feed production could achieve a volume of 25 million tonnes this year.
