Tyson names new CFO

 
 

Tyson Foods Inc. has promoted Dennis Leatherby to executive vice president and chief financial officer, the Springdale, Ark.-based company announced on Monday (June 9, 2008).

 

In his new position, Leatherby will report directly to Tyson President and CEO Richard L. Bond, and will oversee the company's worldwide finance and accounting functions, including representing Tyson on financial matters involving investors, auditors and financial regulatory entities.

 

Leatherby, 48, joined Tyson Foods in 1990 as assistant treasurer. Most recently, Leatherby served as Tyson's senior vice president of finance and treasurer.

 

Leatherby replaces Wade Miquelon, who left for the CFO position at Walgreens.
