South Korea's MFG buys 110,000 tonnes wheat
South Korea's Major Feedmill Group bought 110,000 tonnes of feed wheat through a private negotiation yesterday, June 8, according to three industry executives who took part in the transaction.
The feed-maker group paid US$198.30 a tonne for the grain scheduled for arrival in October and November, the executives said today, June 9, asking not to be identified because the purchase details were confidential.
Meanwhile, CJ Cheil Jedang Corp., a major South Korean food processor, and Dongah Flour Mills Co. jointly bought 23,300 tonnes of milling wheat for shipment between August 15 and September 15 in a tender yesterday, said two industry officials who participated in the bidding.
