Nutriad showcases AGP alternative programmes at Indo Livestock

Nutriad showcased its programmes for responsible use of antibiotics and efficient mycotoxin management at Indo Livestock 2017.
As the Indonesian government has indicated its intent to restrict the use of antibiotics in livestock production, producers are keen to understand alternative strategies Nutriad has developed through years of research.
Dr. Glenn Alfred S. Ferriol, area manager for Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, said, "It's becoming more exciting for Nutriad as there has been an overwhelming interest from the farmers, feed mills and integrators to know more about Nutriad's alternative to antibiotics. Two years ago, Nutriad had the approval of the target-release, precisely-delivered butyrate — ADIMIX Precision - in Indonesia, which gave way for an effective and consistent alternative to AGPs in the market with an extra benefit for food safety programmes specifically against Salmonella. Adimix Precision has also been demonstrated to be effective in helping pigs recover quickly from the negative effects of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhoea (PED)."
Nutriad also showcased the complete range of mycotoxin deactivators and its supporting services. The company offers its complete portfolio of mycotoxin management products including UNIKE®, TOXY-NIL® PLUS, TOXY-NIL®, ADSORBATE® and MOLD-NIL® in Indonesia. With strong local distributor contacts, Nutriad can reach the Indonesian market with proven solutions for mycotoxin risk management, which include a mycotoxin rapid-test system and mobile app MYCOMAN®.
BK Chew, APAC Director, Nutriad's Director for APAC concluded, "Indonesia is one of a handful of countries in Asia that has enjoyed a growth of 300% in feed production over the last 15 years. This growth is staggering and at Nutriad, we have continued to pay close attention and will continue to invest in Indonesia in manpower and distribution. Feedback from industry at the Indo Livestock showed how our collaborative approach to the market is appreciated and valued. With the implementation of the strict regulation in AGP use by end of the year, Nutriad is well positioned to work alongside producers to define solutions for today's and tomorrow's challenges arising from the pressure against AGP use."
