Argentina's April beef consumption rises by 10 percent

Beef consumption in Argentina has grown by 10 percent in April as compared to the same period of 2006, according to industry officials.

Between January and April of this year, the domestic market absorbed a total of 840,000 tonnes-the country's highest level consumption in the last seven years.

The increase is due to a boost raise in production and lower exports.
