Ukraine's 2006/07 grain exports seen at 11 million tonnes
The Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry forecasts grain exports from this year's harvest at 11 million tonnes, including 5-6 million tonnes of wheat, the ministry's press office said.
The ministry's earlier forecast was 8-10 million tonnes.
Ukraine's grain harvest this year is forecast by the ministry at 37.6 million tonnes, including 14.5 million tonnes of wheat.
In the 2004/05 marketing year Ukraine exported a total of 11.54 million tonnes of grain, including 5.46 million tonnes of wheat.
In the current marketing year, Ukraine has exported 11.5 million tonnes of grain since the beginning of the marketing year Jul 1, 2005 to Jun 1.
Ukraine's grain harvest in 2005 was 38 million tonnes, compared with 41.8 million tonnes in 2004.
