BIOMIN achieves two additional EU authorizations for Mycofix® for all avian species

EU authorizations have been granted for two Mycofix ingredients, FUMzyme® and Biomin® BBSH 797, as technological feed additives for all avian species.
"Mycofix is the only product on the market to achieve EU authorization for its mycotoxin deactivation capacities. The fact that Mycofix has three such authorizations highlights the extent to which it offers absolute protection for poultry, turkey and ducks," highlighted Ursula Hofstetter, Director Competence Center Mycotoxins at BIOMIN.
The European Union regulations (EU) 2017/913 and (EU) 2017/930 followed a series of procedural steps affirming the safety and effectiveness of FUMzyme and Biomin BBSH 797 as substances for the reduction of the contamination of feed by mycotoxins (fumonisins and trichothecenes, respectively).
In April 2017, the EU Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health (SCFCAH) voted in favour of the authorisation of two components of Mycofix - FUMzyme and Biomin BBSH 797 - as "substances for reduction of the contamination of feed by mycotoxins" for all avian species.
