UK's Vion and Openfield in new rapeseed, pulses agreement
A new deal between Vion UK and Openfield promises to create another market for domestically produced rapeseed and pulses.
The supply chain agreement will see the grain cooperation supply a large proportion of Vion's rapeseed and pulse requirements into Grampian at Chettisham, near Ely, for the 2009-10 season.
The crops will be sourced, via Openfield, from local growers and used to produce poultry feed that is sold to UK and other EU customers.
