Lithuania's grain exports decrease in April

 

 

Lithuania's grain purchase organisations shipped out a total of 47,300 tonnes of grain in April, a decrease of 70% on year, according to the Agricultural Information and Rural Business Centre.

 

Grain imports contracted by 66% in the reporting period to 12,400 tonnes, it said.

 

The country in April imported a total of 9,800 tonnes of barley from Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Finland at an average price of LTL684/tonne (US$287).

 

It exported a total of 42,600 tonnes of wheat to Latvia, Poland, Denmark, Germany and Turkey, at an average price of LTL915.60/tonne (US$384.25).
