China Choline Chloride: Prices stable despite lower costs (week ended May 31, 2021)
Despite falling costs of ethylene oxide, choline chloride producers held prices stable with sales improved. Demand from the aquaculture for choline chloride increased of late while that from the hog sector stayed stable.
In China, transacted prices of 50% choline chloride were stable to higher at RMB4.03-4.20/kg.
With the costs of raw ingredients substantially lower, choline chloride producers will be more willing to negotiate prices. Sales are expected to be stable but are unlikely to be exceptionally strong while feed producers stay prudent.
