Russia lowers grain production forecast
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has decreased its forecast of grain production in the present year to the level of 90 million tonnes.
According to Elena Skrynnik, the Minister of Agriculture, in the current year, grain harvest in the country will possibly vary within the range of 88-90 million tonnes.
Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture forecasted the grain harvest at the level of 97 million tonnes, which corresponded to the index of 2009.
