No sign of methionine price fall ending in China

Prices of methionine dropped substantially during the week ending May 31.

As poultry producers limited feed stockpiles, the demand for methionine showed little improvement. In anticipation of a worse market after the Dragon Boat Festival, methionine producers cut prices significantly in a bid to clear inventories.

In Europe, prices of methionine for Q2 2017 deliveries were unchanged in the range of EUR2.47-2.50/kg.
