Pakistan's soyoil imports show decrease

Imports of soyoil in the country witnessed a significant decline during the 10 months of the current fiscal year (10MFY10).

According to the data compiled by Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS), in 10MFY10, imports of soyoil stood at US$13.757 million, down 382% over the corresponding period last year.

A total of US$66.247 million soyoil was imported during July-April, 2009.

The import amount of soyoil decreased 49% to US$6.826 million in April, 2010 from US$10.181 million in April, 2009.
