Australian Dairy Farmers Upbeat About Milk Price

Queensland dairy farmers are optimistic about getting a better price for their product.

State Dairyfarmers' director Wesley Judd has met the chief executive of Woolworths, Roger Corbett.

Mr Judd says they discussed upcoming milk supply negotiations and the situation faced by producers. He believes there will be improved milk prices.

"We're confident that there is strengthening of the market, both domestically and internationally, and we would be certainly hopeful that can now flow through right back to producer level," he said.
