Vietnam's TH Group begins construction of major livestock complex in Russia

Vietnam's TH Group has commenced construction of a large livestock complex in the Yakovlevsky district of Primorsky Krai, Russia, which will accommodate 10,000 cattle and is slated for completion and commissioning by 2027, according to the Russian Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, Russia's Pivot to Asia reported.
The development is being spearheaded by TH Rus Primorsky LLC, a resident of the Mikhailovsky Priority Development Territory, a Special Economic Zone. Under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, TH Rus Primorsky will invest over RUB 20 billion (US$221 million) to establish a livestock complex and a dairy plant with an annual processing capacity of 60,000 tonnes of milk.
Once fully operational, the project will create a high-tech, closed production chain "from pasture to table." Initially, the dairy products will be marketed within Russia, with plans to explore export opportunities to the Asia-Pacific region.
Additionally, TH Rus Primorsky intends to cultivate feed for cattle and legumes for domestic sale and export to Asia-Pacific countries.
Ngo Minh Hai, chairman of the Board of Directors of TH Group, said they have been successful in implementing dairy farming projects in the Moscow and Kaluga regions.
TH Rus Primorsky LLC, established in 2017 in the village of Varfolomeevka, Primorsky Territory, lists TH – Rus Milk Food (Volokolamsk) as its main shareholder. Founded in 2009, TH Group is a leading dairy products manufacturer in Vietnam.
Vietnam has a Free Trade Agreement with Russia through the Eurasian Economic Union.
