Russia's grain exports total 323,000 tonnes in May 1-22

 

 

Russia's general grain exports totalled 323,000 tonnes during the period of May 1-22, 2013, and since the beginning of the current season (July 1, 2012) the index reached 14.9 million tonnes.

 

This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on May 28, citing data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

 

According to the announcement, in the period of May 1-22 wheat formed the major share of Russian grain exports - 188,000 tonnes. Also, since the beginning of the reporting month Russia shipped 87,000 tonnes of corn on foreign markets, 47,000 tonnes of barley and 1,000 tonnes of other grain crops.
