Vietnam's dairy products imports record US$459 million
In January-May, Vietnam's milk and dairy product imports are estimated to be US$459 million, the General Statistics Office said on Monday (May 28).
The figure represented an increase of 40.6% against the same period last year, the government-run office said in its report.
The Southeast Asian country bought milk and dairy products worth US$100 million in May, decreasing from US$104 million in April.
In 2011, Vietnam's expenditures on importing dairy products increased 19.7% on year to US$848 million.
