UK seafood labeling regulations come into effect
With Wales being the last region of the UK to adopt the updated fish labeling regulations on Monday (May 29), labeling regulations have come into effect all across the country, according to the Food Standards Agency.
Fish labeling regulations require that certain seafood products be labeled with the commercial designation of the fish species, the production method and the catch area or country of origin.
The amended regulations came into force in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland last month before it came into effect in Wales.
