Arm & Hammer Animal Nutrition launches ECO, a biological solution for fly control and litter management in poultry

Arm and Hammer Animal Nutrition has launched ECO powered by CERTILLUS™, a safe biological solution to address poor litter conditions and fly challenges in poultry houses.

The product was recently introduced in Malaysia and will soon be available in other Southeast Asian countries. The team at Arm & Hammer is excited to leverage their microbial innovation and technology in this new sector as they expand and diversify their product offerings.

Fly menace negatively impacts poultry farm productivity by causing stress on birds and workers, transmitting diseases, and impacting overall performance. "The industry has been eagerly looking for a sustainable solution for fly control and ECO is a trusted option" said Dr Sangita Jalukar, Senior Manager, Technical and Sales Support.

"In tropical countries, the heat and humidity create particularly challenging conditions to manage litter, offering ideal conditions for flies to breed" said Jesse Thompson, Product Manager for ECO and the CERTILLUS brand. "Using chemicals can provide short term relief, but flies develop resistance, making them less effective." ECO is powered by selected Bacillus strains from Arm and Hammer's vast library, offering a safe, environmentally friendly, non-toxic solution to address fly challenges and poor litter conditions.
