Price summary
Prices moved lower.
Market analysis
Feed producers limited the purchases of methionine while the prices of poultry products were weak. Overseas demand softened as well as buyers who have stocked ample inventories withheld buying. Prices weakened with demand slackened and supplies set to expand due to the capacity expansion of the industry.
Demand for methionine will stay weak with poultry feed sales sluggish. This, in conjunction with the imminent supply increase, will exert pressure on the market.
