Japan seeks feed wheat, feed barley in tender 

Japan's Ministry of Agriculture is seeking 31,000 tonnes of feed barley and 63,000 tonnes of feed wheat in a simultaneous buy-sell, or SBS, tender to be concluded June 11, a ministry official said Tuesday (May 27, 2008), declining to be named.

The barley and wheat are to be delivered between June 11 and Sept. 30.

For a SBS tender, the government matches the lowest bid price by suppliers to the highest offer price by Japanese grain buyers.
