Ukraine's April meat production output down 1.5%
Meat production and by-products of the first category has been cut by meat processing enterprises in April by 1.5% or 1,348 tonnes to 87,101 tonnes, compared with March.
Ukrainian News learned this from a source in the Cabinet of Ministers.
In April 2012, production of meat and by-products of the first category fell by 7% or 6,538 tonnes, compared with April 2011.
In January-April 2012, compared to the same period of last year, production of meat and by-products fell by 5.5% or 19,663 tonnes to 338,534 tonnes.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in March meat processing enterprises increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 10.5% or 8,384 tonnes to 88,449 tonnes, compared with February.
In 2011, production of meat and by-products of the first category grew by 5.5% or 55,070 tonnes to 1,056,508 tonnes, as compared with 2010.
