Tens of outstanding Philippine companies engaged in animal feed and drug manufacturing, and meat exportation were awarded during the opening of the Livestock Philippines Expo on Wednesday, May 24.
The awardees, cited for their special contributions to Philippine feed and meat sectors, were led by San Miguel Food Inc., which was accorded the title of Hall of Fame Exporter of Poultry Meat.
The feed industry honours, given to animal feed manufacturing facilities certified as conforming to international standards were: Agrispecialist Inc, Philippines Foremost Milling Corp. - Manila, Philippines Foremost Manufacturing Corp. - Iloilo, Limcoma Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Santeh Feeds Corp., Pilmico Foods Corp.- Iligan City, Filmico Foods Corp. - Tarlac, Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative and Sunjin Philippines Inc.
Veterinary drugs and products manufacturing facilities certified as conforming to international standards were: Refamed Research Laboratory Corp., JSN Laboratories Inc., Progressive Laboratories Inc., Enson Laboratories Inc., Northfield Laboratories Inc., East Asia Laboratories Inc., Nutra Tech Biopharm Inc. and Belman Laboratories Inc.
Chicken meat exporting establishments that received honours from the meat industry were: Aces AMC Integrated Poultry, Aslax Phils Corp., Jikkoh Food Manufacturing Corp., Johanna's Chicken Processing Centre – Lucena City, Johanna's Chicken Processing Centre – Tiaong, LDP Farms Food Corp., Maharlika Agro-Marine Ventures Corp., Mofels Food International Corp., Reitoh Meat Cutting Plant Inc., Silangan Poultry Farm Inc., St. Jude Dressing Plant and Sugoku Foods Corp.
The lone chicken and duck meat exporting honouree was Maharlika Agro-Marine Ventures Corp.
The three-day Livestock Philippines is being held at the SMX Convention Centre in Pasay City, and its co-located events include Aquaculture Philippines, Feeds Expo Philippines, and Philmeat Expo & Forum.
The events showcase a wide array of innovative technologies and the latest innovations in livestock and aquaculture production.
