South American corn production progresses well
Despite continued drier pattern, corn harvesting is progressing well in Argentina as well as central and northern Brazil.
The continued drier pattern in central and northern areas of Brazil will favour first crop harvesting there, while some dryness and stress is likely to begin to build on the safrinha corn.
A downturn in rains across the US belt allowed corn planting to improve there, but rains should now build back across the region, and planting progress will slow especially in south central and north-western portions of the Midwest.
