Methionine market weakens further in China under sluggish demand
Prices of methionine moved lower during the week ending May 23.
Poultry feed sales remained poor, limiting the usages of methionine. Producers of methionine cut prices further amid strong competition.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine fell by RMB0.30-0.60/kg to the range of RMB20.50-21.50/kg.
Methionine prices are seen soft with demand poor and availability abundant.
