Kazakhstan to export grain to Iran under swap scheme
Kazakhstan will begin grain exports to Iran under a swap scheme this year, the government press service announced Monday (May 22), quoting Iran's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Ramin Mehman-Parast.
Mehman-Parast is quoted as saying in the first year Kazakhstan's exports to Iran under the scheme should reach 1 million tonnes.
The volume will increase by 1 million tonnes annually to reach 5 million tonnes a year within the next five years.
