Lysine prices soften in China amid lacklustre demand
 
 
Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending May 22.
 
Demand for lysine slackened as hog prices dipped further while soymeal market stayed weak. With the cost of production stable and demand slack, lysine producers cut prices in attempts to stimulate sales.
 
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine slid to the range of RMB8.80-9.20/kg.
 
Lysine prices are likely to move lower.
