Dostofarm appoints new managing director

German feed supplement manufacturer, Dostofarm GmbH, has appointed Thomas Logemann as the company's managing director.

The appointment is made in light of the expansion of Dostofarm's headquarters in Westerstede, Germany.

Logemann, who joined the company as marketing director in 2007, will be working alongside Dostofarm's founder, Reiner Mecking. He will continue to manage sales and marketing.

Formerly a business economist, Logemann used to work in the packaging industry before entering the agricultural sector.

Dostofarm, which claims to be the world's largest supplier of natural oregano-based feed supplements, carries products which are used on organic and conventional farms for the health treatment of numerous livestock species, particularly for cattle, swine and poultry.

In addition to serving the German market, it also exports its products to about 40 countries mainly in Europe, Asia and North America. Dostofarm has also identified Eastern Europe and South America as its new markets.
