UK supports ban of live animal exports
UK politicians have followed in the path of their Australian counterparts by voting for a live animal export ban.
The UK Parliament in London on May 14 voted in favour of a bill banning the export of livestock for slaughter and fattening for slaughter.
The Australian government had announced that it will ban the live export of sheep by sea from May 2028 following a series of serious incidents involving livestock carriers.
Many nations have also reexamined their laws regarding livestock shipments over the past few years after a string of exposés into the sector revealed terrible conditions onboard.
