Lida Milk-Canning Plant intends to triple export of full cream milk powder to Serbia in 2013.
Director General of the company Andrei Eisymont announced this during the 80th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, Serbia.
"We met our Serbian partners two years ago. They registered us in Serbia and we started delivering our products there. The first batches of full cream milk powder to this country were shipped last year. However, those batches were not big, because we have just started exploring this market," the company chief said. Around US$150,000 worth of these products were exported to Serbia in 2012; this year the company plans to increase the export threefold up to US$500,000.
"However, it is not easy to operate on the Serbian market, because they want our products to be competitive with European goods in terms of price and quality," the Director General said.
Lida Milk-Canning Plant together with other Belarusian companies presented its products at the common exposition of Belarus at the 80th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad.
