Indonesia's integrated poultry and feed major clears its bond debt entirely while lifting shareholders' equity to a new high.

PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) reported a net profit attributable to the parent entity of IDR1.816 trillion (US$104 million) in the first quarter of 2026, a 167% increase from IDR680.4 billion (US$39 million) in the same period a year earlier, driven by strong revenue growth across its integrated agribusiness operations.

Net sales rose 23.6% year on year to IDR17.71 trillion (US$1.01 billion) from IDR14.33 trillion (US$818 million) in Q1 2025. Gross profit climbed to IDR4.52 trillion (US$258 million) from IDR2.69 trillion (US$154 million), while operating profit more than doubled to IDR2.60 trillion (US$148 million) from IDR1.14 trillion (US$65 million).

On the balance sheet, Japfa reduced total liabilities to IDR17.31 trillion (US$988 million) from IDR20.04 trillion (US$1.14 billion) at end-2025, primarily through the full repayment of outstanding bond debt, which stood at IDR5.83 trillion (US$333 million) at the close of last year. Long-term bank debt rose to IDR4.56 trillion (US$260 million) from IDR2.03 trillion (US$116 million), reflecting a shift in the company's debt structure towards bank financing.

Shareholders' equity improved to IDR22.02 trillion (US$1.26 billion) from IDR20.02 trillion (US$1.14 billion) at end-December 2025, supported by higher retained earnings.
