Ukraine may export three million tonnes of grain in May-June

 

 

Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Ministry interagency group said that the country could export 2.97 million tonnes of grain in May-June.

 

According to the group's balance sheet, reasonable wheat exports in this period are 184,000 tonnes, barley - 73,000 tonnes, corn - 2.33 million tonnes, and rye - 74,000 tonnes.

 

According to the group, from July 2012-April 2013 Ukraine had exported 21.5 million tonnes of grain. In particular wheat supplies amounted to 6.83 million tonnes, barley - 2.1 million tonnes, and corn - 12.2 million tonnes.

 

Ukrainian grain exports by the end of the current marketing year (July 2012-June 2013) are expected to reach 24.5 million tonnes, including seven million tonnes of wheat, 2.13 million tonnes of barley and 14.5 million tonnes of corn.

 

Grain ending stocks as of July 1, 2013 are estimated at 5.8 million tonnes.
