Israel experiences two more Newcastle Disease outbreaks
Two outbreaks of Newcastle disease took place in Israel last week.
The veterinary authority sent Follow Up report No. 16 dated May 17 to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The report outlines two new outbreaks of Newcastle disease, which started last week. One was in a small village flock in Hamerkaz and the other was in a commercial flock of five-week-old broilers in Hazafon. In all, 18,010 birds were affected, of which 506 showed symptoms, 302 died and eight were destroyed.
