Poultry prices in Israel set to increase 30%
Poultry producers in Israel are proposing to increase prices by 30%, due to higher livestock feed costs as corn and wheat prices have gone up, Jewish Press reported.
Tnuva, a major food merchant in Israel, announced that it will increase red meat prices by about 8%.
The increased prices are caused by supply issues, due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Both countries are key grain exporters to the world.
Corn prices have gone up 16.25% since Russia's invasion began on February 24. Corn prices have already increased 20% between January 1 and February 24.
