China Corn Weekly: Tight availability strengthens prices (ended May 15, 2020)

Prices climbed further.
With supplies in the market tightening and the state corn reserves auction delayed, prices of corn continued to move higher. IN the central regions on China, price hikes were more prominent as the costs of transportation increased.
Demand for corn from the deep processing sector is expected to be soft as several processors that are incurring losses halt operation. However, corn market is set to stay firm unless the government commences the state reserves auction.
