Queensland dairy farmers support senate inquiry findings

The Queensland Dairyfarmers Organisation has backed the findings of a senate inquiry into dairy pricing.

The Economics References Committee tabled a report in Federal Parliament last week making 16 recommendations. It found a need for more competition and transparency within the industry and recommended a review of trade practices and national competition policy.

QDO president Brian Tessmann said his organisation wants to work with the government to implement the recommendations.
